1. Licence grant
Subject to the Terms and your applicable access level, LemonSnap grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use a lawfully downloaded resource for educational instruction and assessment. The licence is for use, not ownership; all rights not expressly granted are reserved.
2. Individual teacher use
An individual teacher may print and copy a resource for their own current students; display it during their own instruction; assign it through a closed, access-controlled class platform; provide an accessible version to a student who needs one; retain a reasonable working copy; and adapt an included editable file for their own instruction. A substitute, educational assistant, or specialist working directly with that teacher’s class may use the same copy for that class.
3. School and board use
An individual teacher subscription does not license a whole school, department, board, tutoring company, commercial program, or public resource repository. Organization-wide copying, shared staff drives, district LMS libraries, central printing, or use by multiple independent educators requires an active school or board licence that states the permitted users and sites.
4. Digital use
You may post student pages to a password-protected LMS or send them directly to your students and their parents or guardians for the assigned class. You must take reasonable steps to keep teacher keys and rubrics with confidential scoring guidance away from students where appropriate. Public websites, public social media, open file links, unrestricted shared drives, searchable repositories, and marketplace uploads are not permitted.
5. Editing and attribution
You may edit an included DOCX or PPTX file to adjust wording, layout, accommodations, names, numbers, or classroom context for your licensed use. You do not need to add attribution on ordinary classroom copies. You may not remove ownership or rights notices for the purpose of presenting the work as your own product, and you may not use edits to resell, publish, or redistribute a derivative resource.
6. Prohibited uses
You may not sell, sublicense, rent, trade, gift, publish, upload, mirror, or redistribute a resource or substantial part of it; share account credentials; use one licence as a staff-wide library; include LemonSnap content in a paid course, commercial tutoring package, marketplace listing, textbook, app, dataset, or resource bundle; extract answer banks; remove technical protections; scrape the catalog; or use the resources or previews to train, fine-tune, benchmark, or supply an artificial-intelligence system without written permission.
7. Student work and portfolios
Students may complete assigned pages and may keep or privately share their own completed work. A teacher may display limited examples of student work when they have the permissions required by their school and applicable privacy law. This licence does not grant permission to publish student personal information.
8. End of access
Resources lawfully downloaded while your licence was active may continue to be used with your own classes, unless access was obtained through fraud, abuse, or infringement. New downloads, updates, shared organization access, and support require current access. If you materially breach this licence, the licence ends and you must stop the prohibited use and remove unlawfully distributed copies.
